RoomExchange: What is it?
The RoomExchange is a new way to travel and discover the world for free. Someone will already know Couchsurfing or HomeExchange, which however have major flaws and are now in decline.
Instead RoomExchange is new, innovative, totally free and is structured in an ingenious way, it is a real revolution in the world of travel.
How it works.
If you have an hotel, a B&B, or simply a second home or even a free room in your first home, you can choose to join the RoomExchange community and offer other users the opportunity to stay in your room. The exchange of the house or the room can be reciprocal at the same time, or not...
The exchange of the house or the room can be reciprocal at the same time, you can contact the other user of the community and agree directly without the need to use RoomCoins.
However, more complex situations often occur, for example: Alice has a house in Rome and would like to visit Paris in May, Bob has a house in Milan and would like to visit Rome in June, while Charlie has a house in Paris and would like to visit Milan in July. The solution? RoomExchange and the RoomCoins!
When a user of the community will stay in your room, you will earn points which are called RoomCoins which is the virtual currency of the Community. For example, if you ask for 50 RoomCoins a day for your room and your guest stays 2 days, you will earn 100 RoomCoins, which you can use whenever you want to stay in another community user's facility anywhere in the world.
As you can understand, the system is very different from the trivial home exchange, for example if you are from Milan and you host a user from Rome, you are not forced to go to Rome to use your RoomCoins that you have earned, but you can, for example, use them to stay with a user from Florence or Barcelona.
Furthermore, while for Homeexchange you have to make the exchange at the same time, with RoomExchange you can use your RoomCoins whenever you want, as they do not expire.
The basic requirement is that you have to offer a clean room (room) in addition to your guests with a bed and clean sheets, so a sofa or an inflatable bed in the common living room is not good as with Couchsurfing.
The bathroom in the room is not mandatory, but it can be shared, obviously this factor could significantly influence the number of requests received, if you have 2 bathrooms in the house, you can reserve one exclusively for guests. Furthermore, you have to give the keys to the room, while if you are a B&B or in any case you normally give breakfast, in the case of guests through RoomExchange, you are not obliged to give breakfast or you can request that a fee be paid to you.
